Tier III Help Desk/Network Engineer (ISSO/ISSM)

 

SSE is a leading edge, ISO certified technology company serving both the public and private sectors for 35+ years. We are seeking talented Tier 3 Help Desk/Network Engineer who have the work ethic to join with and contribute to our quality service team in our Jacksonville, FL location.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The primary responsibility is to provide full range technical support to SSE Corporate & client networks.  The right candidate will show a focus on customer service and customer care, and grow technically within a company that places technical service, customer-first interaction and delivery as its most critical success measure.

 

 

 

Essential Job Functions/Skills:

 

·         Excellent organizational skills and attention to details

 

·         Deliver solutions based on established practices and procedures

 

·         Able to work when required with minimal supervision, but willing to additionally work in and contribute to a collaborative team environment

 

·         Strong consulting skills and ability to develop and clearly present solutions
Triage, review, and troubleshoot network and PC issues

 

·         Demonstrated practical knowledge and experience with Microsoft Servers & Desktops
Demonstrated practical knowledge in LAN/WAN technologies

 

·         Serve as ISSO for which US Secret Clearance will be required

 

 

 

Technical Skills:

·         Network Operating Systems:  Windows Server, SBS

 

·         Firewall:  Cisco PIX and ASA, Sonicwall

 

·         Directory Services:  Active Directory

 

·         Core Network Services: DNS, DHCP, RRAS, WINS, Citrix, Terminal Services

 

·         Desktop Operating Systems:  Windows,  Linux (Optional),  Macintosh

 

·         Communications:  TCP/ IP, VPN/SSL-VPN, LAN and WAN

 

·         Remote Support Software: MS Remote Desktop, Remote Assistance

 

·         Patch Management: Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)

 

·         Communications:  TCP/ IP, VPN/SSL-VPN, LAN and WAN

 

·         Clustering Technologies: Hyper-V, VMWare

 

·         Operating System Imaging Software: Ghost, Acronis

 

·         Corporate Backup: Veritas/Symantec Backup Exec, Acronis

 

·         Corporate Anti-Virus Software: Symantec, McAfee, other

 

·         Corporate Spyware Software:  MalwareBytes, SuperAntispyware

 

 

 

Education & Experience:

 

Bachelor or Associates degree in related field preferred

 

5+ year’s network or systems administration experience

 

Professional certifications in Cisco, Microsoft, or Oracle is a plus

 

ISSO/ISSM a plus

 

US Secret Clearance preferred; Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance is required
