Desktop/Network Support Technician - IA Level II

The Network Support Technician is responsible for resolution of issues involving a wide range of support involving Workstation Setup, Break/Fix Issues, Printer Issues, and other support areas that are critical to the success of the ongoing projects and strategic initiatives across a number of teams.  Experience installing new equipment is key in this position and able to interface with all levels in the organization with a positive attitude and sense of urgency. 

DOD Secret Clearance is a requirement for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/SKILLS

Ability to provide quality customer service on a consistent basis
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills 

  Must have experience with the majority of the following:

  • Routine server issues (AD Journal Wrap errors, service failures, disk space issues)
  • Network printer server issues
  • Break/Fix Issues
  • Backup failures and maintenance
  • Automated ticket resolution/escalation
  • Exchange:  On premise and Hosted
  • Server Operating Systems:  Windows 2008-2012 and SBS, Including migrations
  • Directory Services:  Active Directory and LDAP
  • Basic DNS troubleshooting and host record management
  • Network software installation
  • Shared network printer installation 
  • Mobile Systems;  Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows
  • Communications:  TCP/ IP, VPN, LAN and WAN, HTTP(S)
  • Clustering Technologies: P2V, SAN/ iSCI
  • Corporate Backup:  Datto and Symantec SSR
  • Virtualization experience with Hyper-V and/or VMWare

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

DOD Secret Clearance is a requirement for this position.

IA Level II Credential is preferred

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.”

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s or Associates degree in related field with 5+ year’s as a Sr. Network Technician or IT PC Support Technician..
